GGnE Support does not manufacture any equipment, but rather bundles off the shelf, low-power, state-of-the-art equipment and assembles it into an operations system for use on a mobile platform. We do not have any contractural relationship with any supplier but are constantly upgrading our system hardware as to what delivers the most bang for the buck. At the bottom of our list of profiling solutions is a list of equipment and companies we have used and recommend for your application. We can provide the equipment and .NET framework software to drive any of the following items. Fabrication of platforms is done by a local machine shop under our supervision. All of the equipment we use can be powered off of a 500 watt vehicle inverter, which plugs into a spare cigarette lighter socket, and requires no vehicle modification other than installation of roof racks and tow bar.
The end user is required to provide their own computer system running WindowsXP or a newer operating system. The computer must have at least two available USB ports, an ethernet connection, and at least a 200Gbyte hard drive to store collected data. Most laptops sold today meet all of these requirements. If the client wishes we can include a price quote for a standard laptop with all applicable software installed.
Finally, for owners of existing profilers we offer an opportunity to convert your existing profiler to run our software by refurbishing your current profilers hardware. Generally speaking, if you own a profiler with lasers, accelerometers, and a DMI unit we can rebuild the system for you with minimal hardware costs. It makes little sense to throw away good equipment that still provides accurate data.
The most basic profiler is a single wheelpath profiler which includes a single laser and accelerometer, start sensor, USB DAQ board, digital encoder with wheel mount and required cabling, 12V power supply, and Profiler DASPR14 software.
Bundled cost is $25,000.
The most basic dual wheelpath profiler includes two lasers and accelerometers, start sensor, USB DAQ board, digital encoder with wheel mount and required cabling, 12V power supply, and Profiler DASPR14 software.
Bundled cost is $35,000.
Two AXIS cameras with outdoor housing, Garmin 18x GPS reciever, Quantech serial to ethernet device, Video capture software DASVS14, 12V power supply, and POE network hub.
We use the AXIS camera systems for many reasons:
Each camera is connected by a single ethernet cable to an RJ-485 connection with power supplied to the camera through the provided POE ethernet hub. A single cable means easy connections and less "spaghetti" to deal with in the vehicle. Distance and location are handled by the included DAQGP14 software and hardware.
Bundled cost is $7,000.
Each additional camera is as additional $1750. No limit on the number of cameras handled.
DASSM14 software to handle two cameras, ease system setup, and ensure simultaneous image capture, add $1,200.
Our Laser Rut system uses 5 Banner laser distance rangefinders operating at 100hz provide a 5-point solution to determing left and right wheelpath rutting to 1/10" of accuracy. At typical highway speeds this is roughly one set of rut measurement points less than a foot apart in the longitudinal direction. System includes five Banner 100HZ short-range lasers to acheive a 5 point rut system, digital encoder and DASDMI14 software, USB DAQ board, and the Profiler DASPS14 software.
Bundled cost is $3,500.
Our Laser Rut system uses the DARUT52014 system and combines additional lasers to create a 7 point solution for minimal additional cost. 7 Banner laser distance rangefinders operating at 100hz provide a 7-point solution to determine left and right wheelpath rutting to 1/10" of accuracy. At highway speeds this is roughly one set of rut measurement points less than a foot apart in the longitudinal direction. System includes five Banner 100HZ short-range lasers to acheive a 5 point rut system, digital encoder and DASDMI14 software, USB DAQ board, and the Profiler DASPRS14 software.
Bundled cost is $5,000.
Dual wheelpath profiling system with two lasers, two accelerometers, three Banner 100HZ short-range lasers to achieve a 5 point rut system, digital encoder, USB DAQ board, and DASPRS14 software. Includes wheel mount and required cabling. Additional Banner lasers can be added for an extra charge to achieve a 7 or even 9 point rut solution at $500/each.
Two AXIS cameras, Garmin 18x GPS reciever, Quantech network device, video capture software, 12V power supply, and POE network hub.
System Manager DASSM14 software for managing system components, and GPS Data Logger DASGP14
Bundled cost is $42,000. Savings of $3500 over buying individual components and software!
Garmin 18x WASS enabled GPS receiver, serial cable, Quantech network device, POE Network hub, 12V power supply, DASGPS14 software, and user selectable distance-interval triggering. The DASGPS14 software allows for generation of geographic coordinates, and for real-time speed and distance calculations without having to use a wheel mounted distance measuring system. Distance measuring accuracy is within 2% of actual distance. Absolute geographic positioning can be within a couple of feet or less depending upon current GPS satellite coverage. This is NOT a differential GPS systems which requires a secondary base unit to correct the original signal, and therefore does NOT require additional monthly charges to maintain.
Bundled cost is $1000 per vehicle system.
Wheel mounted digital encoder, Garmin 18x WAAS enabled GPS reciever, USB DAQ board, Quantech network device, POE Network hub, 12V power supply, GPS2014 and DMI2014 software, and user selectable distance-interval triggering, and user selectable distance-interval 5V pulse output. Includes wheel mount and required cabling. The DMI system is capable of measuring to sub-inch intervals and can deliver speed/distance in both metric and english units in terms of MPH, KmH, Ft/sec, or even inches/sec if so needed for low-speed systems like pavers, stripers, or super heavy load moves.
Bundled cost is $2500 per vehicle system.
This system is designed to take an existing profiler system of two lasers, two accelerometers, start sensor, and DMI source to run as full blown DAQFB14 system as shown above. We will then supply a Garmin 18x WAAS enabled GPS reciever, Quantech network device, POE Network hub, 12V power supply, and all required software.
Estimated cost is $25,000 and includes all software as the DAQFB14.
This is a list of all the hardware components used in building our systems with links to each indivdual product.
All prices are $US dollars, and do not include shipping or state and local taxes.
All software with an annual license may be renewed after payment of 20% of original base price and will entitle user to the updated software and all new documentation.
