GGnE Support is the only company on the market that allows for our clients to not only build a vehicle data acquisition system, but allows you to develop a robust software platform using custom software applications that will integrate with whatever system you decide to go with. All of our software is a network client-server based system, written in-house.
We do not force our end-user to have to manage cumbersome file formats spewed across a series of multiple machines in order to collect a meaningful set of data. We can provide a complete solution which minimizes operator training and simplifies operation to a simple "push a button - start collecting."
Ease of operation is the key to success in data acquisition. All of our software has been developed over the last fourteen years working with the Texas Department of Transportation and is now running on over 20 vehicles in the state collecting close to 100,000 lane miles of data each year. To perform network - not project based - data acquisition requires easy to use software with minimal operator supervision. Some of systems have collected over 600 miles of data a day (and long days at that!).
Our software development has been centered upon the central idea that a single mid-range computer with a dual or quad-core CPU is able to handle ALL the data collected by the subsystems onboard a vehicle. Most laptops have more than enough horsepower to handle the amounts of data collected, which often runs about 20 to 100MBytes per mile. By distributing the processing to each subsystem we have minimized the load on the recording computer's CPU, and with our reliance upon client applications controlled by a central server, we have allowed each client to use multi-threading on one of each computer's CPUs. Typically, we find that during data collection, even at highway speeds of 70MPH the system shows only about 10-15% CPU time being used.
The System Manager DASSM14 program allows for integration of all GGnE Support software applications allowing for simultaneous data collection and storage of all systems output. In addition, it provides the ability to manage the collection of a large set of spatially oriented data, for example the entire street system of a city or town. The system is entirely configurable by the end user, and allows for addition of an almost endless variety of data collection systems. Highly recommended for handling multiple programs and tracking data collection.
Cost $2400 for single vehicle annual license., and 2 hours of private training at our location, or by remote connection.
The DASDM14 is a software solution which is designed to interface to the DAQDG14, but can be configured to use an existing DMI encoder system with a standard 5V TTL pulse output, using our USB DAQ unit.
Output from the software is in real-time display and with output to either a file, or as network broadcast to other applications. Accuracy of the system is speed to within a 1/10 MPH, and distance measuring less than an inch. There is no maximum speed limit to the system, but the lower speed limit is limited to 1.5 MPH or about 2 feet/sec. The DASDM14 software can be configured to generate output signals at a set distance. Output can either be a network broadcast or by toggle of a TTL output channel on the USB data acquisiton board.
Cost $400 for single vehicle annual license, and 1 hour of private training at our location, or by remote connection.
The PM14 is a software solution which interfaces to a USB data acquisiton(DAQ) board connected to two high speed Laser distance modules, two accelerometers, a start sensor, and the DMIHD14 system. Output is a standard intertial profiler file in TxDOT spec 1000, and real-time IRI calculations for each wheelpath at any given distance interval greater than 50 feet. Output can be configured to go to a file, or transmitted to a listening data logging program such as the AppMgr2014 sofware.
Cost $3000 for single vehicle annual license, and 8 hours of private training at our location, or by remote connection.
The GPS Data Logger DASGP14 software provides real-time connection and display of the the DASGP14 system. It can be configured to also produce a real-time distance and speed output to either a file or network broadcast. The module allows for a real-time data display of all data being collected by the system and previous datasets. Display is overlain onto a captured aerial photo (Google Map) or client supplied graphic street map with known geographic boundaries.
Because the DASGP14 system is a network solution
Cost $900 for single vehicle annual license, and 2 hours of private training at our location, or by remote connection.
The DASVS14 is a video package that allows for collecting video images from AXIS network cameras coupled with the DASSM14 software. Must be configured with the DASGS14 software to allow for image triggering, or the DMI14 and the DASGP14 software (highly recommended). The VID14 takes JPEG images directly over the ethernet network, and stores them on the computer hard drive with each image individually tagged. There is no computer video frame grabber or messy cables to fool with.
Cost $800 for single vehicle annual license, and allows for unlimited cameras. Included is 2 hours of private training at our location, or by remote connection.
Specifically built to maintain profilers at a constant state of calibration. The PV14 software uses as input the native GG2014 output file, a TxDOT project profile, or data from RideQC.org. The user is charged with first creating a verification section - about 2 miles of road with little to no traffic - and surveying the road with a newly calibrated profiler. Three passes are made to create a Master Verification file. Throughout the year the profiler is brought back to the verification section, data is recollected, and using the DASPV14 software analyzed compared to the Master Verification data.
Cost $500 for single user license (one-time fee) and 1 hour of private training at our location, or by remote connection.
This software is designed for programmers wishing to integrate their own applications into the GGnE software solution. Software includes sample C# programs for Visual Studio, the GGnE application DLL's used for interfacing to all of our modules, and support documentation.
An excellent set of software for universities in developing new applications, or companies interested in developing new products without having to develop a whole data collection vehicle.
Cost $2000 for single programmer use, documentation, sample programs, and 4 hours of private training at our location, or by remote connection.
All software with an annual license may be renewed after payment of 20% of original base price and will entitle user to the updated software and all new documentation.
